XY Live… A Social Media Experiment

A mad dash, a crazy idea and a community filled with dreams. That’s all it takes to start this ambitious project.

The act started off with Dakota’s acoustic music. As her notes reached the sky, the vibrations from her music could be felt in the air. Our beating hearts synchronised with the tune she strummed.

The programme moved on to two mind boggling discussions, “Impact of Social Media in Today’s Society” and “I took the wrong bus.”

Both the discussions tickled my thoughts as they touched on topics that resonate to my current situation. To be lost in the public eye and having to pretend that we’re alright just because of society’s judgments.

As day transformed into night, deliriousness accompanied exhaustion. Although we took breaks in between, we still felt the impact from trying to stream for 21 hours. In the serenade of the black, the stars are choir. Accompanied by the calm music from the hotel, I finally had a tranquil moment to myself. While I took in what had happened, I looked up into the dark sky and wonder, will it all go well? Only time will tell as a new dawn arrive. Shuffling us to the next day with a golden smile.
