Jalan Pisang

Jalan Pisang is a Malay word which directly translated as Banana Street (Banana – Pisang, Street – Jalan). Though you can no longer find any banana plant here, you can still enjoy the delicious Pengat Pisang or Pisang Goreng (banana fritters) from Hjh Maimunah Restaurant. Jalan Pisang is synonymous with this restaurant which serves Malay Kampung styled cuisine since the early 1990’s.

Besides Hjh Maimunah, other equally famous F&B establishments here include Fluff Bakery, Chix Hot Chicken by Taufik Batisah (1st Singapore’s Idol winner) and Lina’s Café. A unique feature of Lina’s Cafe is that they create a children-friendly place and is especially safe for kids with ASD to dine in.
